Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cook Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes |
Cuisine: American | Special Tools: None | Course: Appetizer |
Ingredients:
1 egg
16 Wonton wrappers
1 8oz cream cheese softened at room temp
2 tablespoons green onion chopped
2 tablespoons chives chopped
soy sauce for serving
Instructions:
Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare your egg wash by adding egg to a small bowl and a splash of water. Whisk and set aside.
In a medium bowl, beat your cream cheese until fluffy. Add in your green onions and chives, beat until combined.
Dollop about 1 tablespoon of the mixture into the middle of a wonton wrapper.
Dip your finger in the egg wash and line the outer edge of the wrapper with the wash. Fold the wrapper into a triangle and press the edges together tightly. Repeat for all of your wontons until mixture is gone.
Lay your wontons flat on your baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the edges are brown and the tops are golden. Cool for a few minutes and then enjoy with soy sauce.
