Garlic & Onion Cashews

Updated: Sep 14, 2022

Made, Written & Photographed by the creators of the Point

These cashews are a great snack to bring to work or to send with your kids to school. They're full of flavor AND protein. Cashews, my personal favorite, are the perfect pairing for the salty flavors of this seasoning mix.

Garlic & Onion Cashews

makes 3 cups

Ingredients:

  • 4 teaspoons onion powder

  • 2 teaspoons sugar

  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt

  • 2 1/2 tablespoons olive oil divided

  • 3 cups whole salted cashews

  • 4 teaspoons dried parsley flakes

Instructions:

  1. Begin by mixing your 4 teaspoons onion powder, 2 teaspoons sugar, and 1 teaspoon garlic salt in a small bowl. Set aside.

  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add in 2 tablespoons olive oil. Once hot, add in your 3 cups cashews, seasoning mix, and your additional olive oil. Continue to stir and cook for about 4-7 minutes, or until the cashews have gotten color and are toasted.

  3. Stir in your 4 teaspoons parsley flakes. Lay your toasted cashews on a cooling rack or cooking sheet lined with paper towel until cooled.

  4. Store in an airtight container.
